Everyone has a tough time on occasions. It is part of being human. But at the time when we most need our brain to work at its best and be flexible, our central nervous system tends to be overwhelmed, increasing self-criticism and negative thought patterns. These are the times it can be helpful to get in touch with a professional who objectively can unpack issues together with you, to help you see issues in your through different lenses.

At My Debrief we specialise in these more challenging times, when you may feel stuck, perhaps rely excessively on substances to cope or even feel self-destructive. We offer debriefing, coaching and psychotherapy and will tailor the services to your needs. So, what is the difference between these services?

Debriefing is used when there may have been an incident that significantly has upset or distressed you. At this time it is beneficial to have some assistance in looking at the event in a systematic way and plan a way to move forward. This could be a tense discussion at work, a traumatic experience or a relationship difficulty that has affected you to some extent.

In Coaching we deal with setting goals and specifying the actions and other requirements to reach peak performance. We look at barriers you may face such as specific issues you may struggle with or that you have noticed affecting your happiness in life. Together we will device a plan of action to overcome both emotional and practical obstacles, moving forward towards a positive outcome.

Psychotherapy offers a chance to look a bit deeper. Why do certain issues trigger you? Where has certain opinions and values arisen from? How does your childhood experiences and memories affect you today? And lots more. By understanding yourself and your reactions better you can make more beneficial decisions without letting emotional reactions rule your life.

You do not need to know which service would be most helpful for you and often there is an overlap of the methods used. The service is client led and non-pathologising and uses an eclectic collection of modalities (Neuroscience, Humanistic, ACT, CBT, SFT, IFS, IPT).
However you are feeling, thinking or behaving, it has at some point in your life been beneficial to you (otherwise you would not feel, think or do what you currently are). The great news is that many of these thoughts, feelings and behaviours are learned, which means they can also be unlearnt and replaced with more helpful ones.

Regardless of which service you prefer, they are invoiced the same. This ensures seamless overlap of services and a discreet and confidential service delivery. Appointments available 4,30am - 11pm, Monday -Friday. * **
